Best of 2023

As we wave goodbye to 2023 and welcome a new year, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey I’ve had as a newborn and family photographer. The past year has been full of beautiful moments, loving connection, perfect chaos, and new life. Let’s take a look through my best photos of 2023!

Photography in New England and Beyond

My photography adventures this year brought me farther than ever before— I am especially thankful for having had the opportunity to photograph a family in Costa Rica!! In addition to my favorite spots in Central Massachusetts, I also spent lots of time in the Boston area as well as photographed some really special sessions in New York, New Hampshire, Cape Cod and Maine. I shot more in-home sessions than ever before, and these are quickly becoming some of my favorites! The simplicity and intimacy makes for some truly authentic images. In the upcoming year, I’d also love to do more travel sessions!

Welcoming New Clients as Well as Familiar Faces

Reconnecting with families that return year after year is always an honor, and it is so fun to continue documenting them as the kids grow and change. Witnessing the evolution of a family as they go from first baby to big kids is one of the biggest treasures of this job. On the flip side, building new connections with families for the first time allows me to discover unique stories, personalities, and dynamics. It’s such a treat to meet so many lovely families who share my photography vision and truly value the experience I offer.

I strive to create a space where all types of families feel celebrated and represented— from LGBTQ+ to every skin color under the sun. Every family story is unique and beautiful, and my heart is dedicated to capturing the richness of this diversity. 

What to Expect in 2024

My goals as a family and newborn photographer are focused on offering clients the best experience I possibly can. To do this will mean bookings in busier seasons will be more limited than in the past, in order to allow me to dedicate myself fully to each client. This approach ensures that you will feel totally taken care of throughout the process of working with me. I can foster a genuine connection with every family and offer you the personalized experience you deserve. 

Some other goals on my list for 2024

• Photograph all the pieces in my Client Closet to create a catalog for clients to easily browse
• Update session prep guides with more tips on how we can work together to make more intentional moments
• Photograph more in-home sessions with “a day in the life” feel
• Have specific “office hours” each day to catch up on emails in a timely fashion
• Curate styling inspiration on my Pinterest page

As I look ahead to the upcoming year as a lifestyle photographer, I aspire to continue refining my style, seeking new ways to authentically document the connections that make each family special.
