I remember ringing in 2020 almost exactly a year ago, and everyone was SO excited for it to be the best year ever! Fast forward to now, and it has been challenging, exhausting, strange, disruptive, anxiety-ridden, and luckily also full of silver linings.
In the spring when everything shut down, I went three months without taking a single session– I have not gone that long without a session EVER. But looking at my numbers, this ended up being my biggest year I’ve ever had, and I took 14 more sessions this year than I did last year. Thanks to all of YOU for making that happen! I think this year has really made people appreciate their family, and documenting that has become all the more important.
Some very favorite sessions are the in-home lifestyle family & newborn sessions– I would love to continue doing more and more of these in 2021. There is so much beauty in the mundane, and it is so lovely to capture kids in their own domain, in the place they feel the most comfortable.
I want to truly express my appreciation to all my clients for trusting me to be your newborn photographer, your family photographer, your love photographer. In a year of uncertainty, it is such an honor to be able to capture memories for all of you.
Only time will tell what 2021 will bring. I am nervous especially about the rest of the cold weather months where outdoor sessions are not always feasible. I’m unsure how optimistic to be about life getting back to something that resembles normal. To be honest, I’m so sad watching my kids miss out on having normal friendships. But all we can do is look ahead and do our best!
Here is a collection of some of my favorite images shot in 2020. Your sessions brought me all around Massachusetts this year, and I loved finding some new spots to photograph your families at. Your love, your connection, your compassion– those are the things that make these images strong. I’m so thankful to have connected so well with all the families I’ve worked with– you really make my job easy!
