Cozy season is coming. I’ve got a few more weeks of outdoor fall sessions and as much as a I love doing photos outside, there’s something so intimate and lovely about in-home sessions. Snuggle your fam and no need to stress about getting everyone in the car to drive somewhere.

Putting out feelers to see if anyone is interested

Putting out feelers to see if anyone is interested in family photos in OREGON! I will be in the Portland area in mid-December, and would love to do one session while I’m out that way (my focus is on families with young kids/babies). We can do the coast (like this photo), or what I would actually really love to do is either more of an urban vibe or something like the Hoyt Arboretum. Please share with anyone you know who might be interested!!

There are a few things that really bolster my phot

There are a few things that really bolster my photographer soul. One is getting an excited email back from a client after I deliver their gallery. Another is receiving a ‘congratulations’ email after submitting for publication. It feels vulnerable submitting your work for someone to judge, so I feel so lucky that for the second year in a row, I have two images featured in the fall edition of @heartfulmagazine. The entire thing is full of so much inspiration for family photographers! I’m so glad to be included, and can’t wait to get my print copy!

The extent of physical growth that happens all in baby’s first year of life is so wild.

For your family photos, I offer as much or as litt

For your family photos, I offer as much or as little help with outfit planning as you’d like. Some people prefer to do it all themselves, but most of the time, folks like to get some level of input for what would work best with my style of photography. That can look like just client closet options for the kids, or just general photo inspo of the vibe they are going for (photos pulled from Pinterest), or a combo of both those things complete with specific links for purchasing clothing items. Whatever you do, don’t leave wardrobe as an afterthought and find yourself scrambling the day before your photos.

Summer is my very favorite season, by far. I will

Summer is my very favorite season, by far. I will forever choose being sweaty over being cold, rain over snow, beaching over skiing. My older two kids start school tomorrow, which signifies the unofficial end of summer, and I’m not ready to let go of this season! Despite the fact that we have three kids, two full time jobs, and zero childcare all summer, the warmth just fuels my soul and it’s never enough. Summer, you were filled with so much adventure, sand, family, and friends— I love you, please don’t go!
