This year I reached a little out of my comfort zone and entered some photos into the Shoot & Share photography contest. I entered 50 photos, which were up against almost 600,000 other images by many amazing photographers throughout 25 different categories.
I hoped to have at least one make it to the top 10% and was blown away when I ended up with 7 images in the top 30%, 11 images in the top 20%, 7 in the top 10%, one finalist in the top 500, and one that even took 11th place in the newborn category! I’ve been feeling very proud of the direction my portrait work has been going in the last few years, and this is a nice confirmation that others love it as well!
