In hospital newborn photo sessions, or “fresh 48″s as a lot of photographers like to call them, are something I’ve been slowly introducing over the past year. Photographing a baby before she even comes home from the hospital is a really wonderful thing– they will never be as fresh as this, or as small. Even their little details change SO quickly as their skin gets used to the outside world. Plus, there’s nothing like documenting those overwhelming emotions of parents who have just met their new baby. The way they stare at their little human with so much love is incredibly powerful. These sessions can be purchased on their own, or as a discounted add on to a studio newborn session.
Here are some highlights from Thea’s in hospital session at Brigham & Women’s in Boston on her second day of life.
I am hoping to boost my portfolio with these sessions now that I’ve officially added them to my list of offerings, so please reach out if you are due soon and would be interested in a steeply discounted portfolio building session when your baby is born. Anywhere in Massachusetts is fair game.
